Even if you apply an eye primer some colors just refuse to show up. Being a WOC and someone who also loves makeup it is quite difficult to make the colors that you like pop on the eyelids. #Mac paint pot painterly vs maybelline proMac Paint Pots are £16 on their website or Debenhams if you live in the UK, and Maybellines Colour Tattoo can be bought in any local drug store. I bought mine from Boots for around £5. Thats a 13.00 savings Both products glide on without creasing, which helps with wrinkles and also creates the perfect base for layering shadows. Today’s review is going to be the MAC Pro Longwear Painterly Paint Pot. Colour: you can see on the picture that the colour of AVON base is little bit lighter than MACs colour. You can buy MAC in brands shops or online, AVON through the Avon ladies or online as well. I suppose you can tell from these which is right for you, but if Mac’s prices aren’t in your budget then the slight difference isn’t even worth a gander. Price: MAC paint pot costs 19,50 for 5g while AVON Eyeshadow base 2,90 for 3g (which makes the price 4,83 for 5g). #Mac paint pot painterly vs maybelline skinAlthough my skin is yellow toned, its also fair, so I may have been better off. Now, to me the Colour Tattoo pot looks slightly more muted than the Mac version, but the Mac holds more of an orange based undertone. Soft Ochre is more yellow toned & Painterly is more pink toned. I absolutely love my MAC Painterly paint pot. As you can see, the Colour Tattoo is slightly on the pink side, but not by much when swatched. Seamless coverage without weight or caking blends smoothly over the lids. ![]() Okay so my Mac Paint Pot on the left is in the shade Painterly, and the product on the right is the Maybelline Colour Tattoo 24 Hour, Creamy Mattes version in the colour Creme de Rose. A great dupe for Studio Fix Fluid is the Maybelline Fit Me Matte + Poreless Foundation (7.99), which is just as long-lasting and shine-free for a fraction of the price. I don’t remember ever buying the dupe but I appear to have it, so I unscrewed them and swatched them just to make sure that they’re actually good dupes and well, see for your self: MAC Foundation Dupes: We’re starting with MAC’s most-loved base product: The Studio Fix Fluid SPF 15 (30) provides an airbrushed matte finish and has notably high coverage. So I’m getting all my makeup out to snapchat my friend (we are having makeup wars and a showing off session) and I notice that I have this MAC paint pot, and a colour of a different brand that’s pretty much the same. ![]()
